They really took it to Del Rio for the full four quarters, racking up a 93-53 win on the road. Veterans Memorial might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Veterans Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demarion Dennis, who scored 19 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jionte Jones, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Veterans Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Del Rio, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Veterans Memorial is on the road again on Friday and play against United South at 3:00 p.m. on December 8th. United South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Veterans Memorial is ranked 14th). As for Del Rio, they will head out on the road to face off against Tivy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Tivy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
