Volleyball Game Preview: San Jose Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Lions

San Jose hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

San Jose is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Gilroy, falling 3-0.

San Jose was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Overfelt. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Royals 25-21 in the first set.

Lincoln started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-16, 15-9.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for San Jose, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
