Volleyball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Poplar Bluff on Monday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Pattonville Pirates on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pattonville scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-3. As for Pattonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Northwest has already played their next match (against Affton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pattonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Westminster Christian on the 2nd.
