Softball Recap: Nevada Takes a Loss

Nevada fell victim to Mineral Springs and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Blue Jays just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Nevada's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mineral Springs, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada will venture away from home to face off against Columbia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Jays are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mineral Springs, they will take on Kirby at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
