Allendale-Fairfax picks up ninth straight win at home

Recap: Allendale-Fairfax Tigers vs. Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars

The Allendale-Fairfax Tigers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Ridgeland-Hardeeville by a score of 51-41. Given Allendale-Fairfax's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Ridgeland-Hardeeville is ranked 171st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Imani Patterson, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Patterson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Brianna Washington, who scored nine points.

Allendale-Fairfax pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ridgeland-Hardeeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Allendale-Fairfax will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Ridgeland-Hardeeville is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Colleton County at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Colleton County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
