Soccer Recap: Wauconda's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Wauconda was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Vernon Hills last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Crystal Lake Central Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The loss put an end to Wauconda's undefeated start to the season.

Meagan Gerle and Jillian Kacinski scored all three of Wauconda's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wauconda fell to 2-1. As for Crystal Lake Central, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wauconda will host Warren Township at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will be playing at home against Maine South at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
