Basketball Game Preview: Maricopa Rams vs. Casa Grande Cougars

The Maricopa Rams will square off against the Casa Grande Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maricopa is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Maricopa came up short against Canyon del Oro and fell 67-54.

Casa Grande has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Catalina Foothills on Tuesday.

Casa Grande's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-6. As for Maricopa, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything came up roses for Maricopa against Casa Grande in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, as the team secured an 88-38 win. In that matchup, Maricopa amassed a halftime lead of 50-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
