Softball Recap: Rayville Comes Up Short

Rayville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Forest Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 19-8 loss two weeks ago.

Rayville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Rayville will square off against Ouachita Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ouachita Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.72 runs per game on average), something Rayville will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Forest, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 loss against Delhi Charter on the 28th.
