 Washington Township fell victim to Kouts and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies. Washington Township has struggled against Kouts recently, as their  contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Washington Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carson Wheat, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double.
 On Kouts' side,  Landon Garrett made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Garrett has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Garrett was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  stolen base and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Whitaker was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Kouts, they pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Washington Township is on the road again  on Saturday to play Bremen at 10:00  a.m. Washington Township is facing Bremen at the right time seeing as Bremen is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Kouts, they will head out on the road to  take on  Oregon-Davis at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
