Basketball Recap: Deming Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Deming hadn't done well against Organ Mountain recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Deming Wildcats snuck past the Organ Mountain Knights with a 43-37 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Organ Mountain still got an impressive performance from Aliyah Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Siena Gonzales, who posted seven points.

Deming is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Organ Mountain, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Deming wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-35 loss against Centennial on the 16th. As for Organ Mountain, they will take on Gadsden at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Organ Mountain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
