Baseball Recap: Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers vs. Ludlowe Falcons
Bridgeport Central extended their losing streak to 19 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-22 in the process. They came up short against the Ludlowe Falcons, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Ludlowe, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Considering they have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Ludlowe's part, Leo Hood was a major factor no matter where he played. In other batting news, Ludlowe got a massive performance out of Tyler Geriak, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave Geriak a new career-high. Chris Wolf was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
