Basketball Recap: Junction City/St. Xavier Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Junction City/St. Xavier had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 66-62 victory over the Manhattan Indians on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bluejays sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.

Manhattan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Junction City/St. Xavier will face off against Derby on Monday. One thing working in Derby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Manhattan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-62 defeat against Junction City on the 14th.
