Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 56-46 to the Sweet Springs Greyhounds. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-39 back in December of 2024.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Sweet Springs, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.

Santa Fe and Sweet Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Santa Fe will square off against Pilot Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 296 places (562 vs. 266). Similarly, Sweet Springs (ranked 551st) will meet Richmond (ranked 80th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
