Baseball Recap: Valley Oaks CES Triumphs

Valley Oaks CES won the last time they faced Bert Corona Charter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Knights by a score of 9-4.

Andre Zuniga made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Valley Oaks CES is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Zuniga was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.

Valley Oaks CES always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Valley Oaks CES' record is now 3-4. As for Bert Corona Charter, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
