Evansville Mater Dei are taking a road trip to take on Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evansville Mater Dei is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Evansville Mater Dei faced off against Evansville Reitz on Monday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Brynn Todd, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jasper). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over Evansville Central on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Jasper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Evansville Mater Dei, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Evansville Mater Dei skirted past Jasper 13-12 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evansville Mater Dei since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
