Basketball Game Preview: West Stanly Colts vs. Albemarle Bulldogs

West Stanly hasn't had much luck against Albemarle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Colts will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. West Stanly will be strutting in after a victory while Albemarle will be coming in after a loss.

West Stanly is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Gray Stone Day: they outscored them in every quarter. The Colts put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 53-27 win on Monday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kennedy Foxx had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Foxx is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Scarlet Griffin was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Albemarle was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 42-21 to Uwharrie Charter Academy. The Bulldogs were down 35-9 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

West Stanly's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
