Gila Ridge had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Coconino Panthers get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Friday. The Hawks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gila Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Soliz, who threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Cota, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one score.

Gila Ridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Coconino to a completion percentage of just 40%. The Hawks weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.2%.

Gila Ridge's record now sits at 11-1. As for Coconino, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Coming up, Gila Ridge will be playing at home against Mica Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hawks 11, the Thunderbolts 7) so any points scored will be well earned. Coconino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
