Gilbert Classical Academy won the last time they faced San Carlos and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans blew past the Braves 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

While Gilbert Classical Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 27-25, 25-17.

Aveline Scilley paced Gilbert Classical Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Scilley got some help from Mackenzie Redford and her eight assists. Aspen Guymon controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Gilbert Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for San Carlos, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Gilbert Classical Academy will challenge Trivium Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Carlos, they will square off against Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
