Basketball Recap: Mark Keppel's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Mark Keppel won the last time they faced Gabrielino and things went their way on Friday too. The Aztecs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 59-47. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Aztecs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Eagles are ranked 697th).

Mark Keppel now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Gabrielino, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mark Keppel will take on South Hills in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gabrielino, they and Fremont will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
