Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Kennedy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Holy Cross Crusaders, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wilmel Encarnacion-Frica, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Kennedy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Holy Cross, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy will square off against rival Waterbury Career Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holy Cross is set to take on their familiar foe Derby at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
