For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Thompsonville and Galatia have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. Thompsonville walked away with a 2-0 win over Galatia. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win back in September.

Thompsonville easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21.

AMILYA WILLIFORD paced Thompsonville's offense, picking up five kills. WILLIFORD got some help from WITLIE WOODRING and her ten assists. MADDIE ISAACS and LANIE WILLIAMS kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Thompsonville's victory bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Galatia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Looking ahead, Thompsonville will venture away from home to take on Pope County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Galatia, they will host Harrisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
