Blum fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Aquilla on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 55-45 to the Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Blum lost, don't look at Gunner Willingham. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. Willingham's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Lavender, who scored 11 points.

Blum's loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Blum and Aquilla will both be playing Bynum the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
