Yamhill-Carlton waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Douglas Trojans 17-6. Considering the Tigers have won 14 matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Yamhill-Carlton pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Douglas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-5.

Coming up, Yamhill-Carlton will welcome Astoria at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Fishermen have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Douglas, they have already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Dayton on the 19th.
