Baseball Recap: Exeter Tigers vs. Southwest Trojans
Exeter came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Southwest Trojans, falling 12-6. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

K Crowe was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Brexton Bowman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Cason Antle was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Exeter now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Southwest, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
