The biggest upset of the week belonged to Eagle Pass, who took down 685th ranked Eagle Pass, 27-7. Aaron Swain threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Del Rio was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 5A Region IV District 29. Earlier in the week, the Rams defeated Winn 28-0.

Agustin Gonzalez was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 100 yards as Laredo LBJ defeated the Eagles. Erick Garay also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.

Velasquez was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs beat Eagle Pass. Velasquez racked up three receptions for 99 yards. Xavione Skaggs helped Alexander's passing attack out by catching three balls for 82 yards.

United's Alec Salas and Terry Dalehite have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 5A Region IV District 29 in both passing and receiving yards. Salas has thrown for 1490 yards this season, while Dalehite has 42 catches for 601 yards. Garay from the Wolves leads the league in rushing with 388 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Alexander takes on Del Rio. Joel Lopez's team is in fourth place, while Steve Hoffman's team is in first place.

The Bulldogs moved up to 669 from 724 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Alexander climbed the ranks as a result of a 27-7 win over Tom Gonzalez's team.
