Softball Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

Patrick Henry was the 1-0 winner over Point Loma when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoe Rutherford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

Patrick Henry's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Point Loma, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-5-1.

Patrick Henry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Cathedral Catholic on the 15th. As for Point Loma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Academy of Our Lady of Peace on the 13th.
