Basketball Recap: Friendship Takes a Loss

Friendship was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 53-28 to the Andover Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-9 back in December of 2024.

Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Andover, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship will venture away from home to challenge Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover, they will head out on the road to take on Fillmore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fillmore is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Andover a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
