Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Knights vs. Bermudian Springs Eagles

Fairfield is 1-7 against Bermudian Springs since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fairfield Knights will challenge the Bermudian Springs Eagles at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fairfield lost 7-1 to York Suburban on Tuesday.

Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Higgs, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Bermudian Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Kennard-Dale on Wednesday and fell 6-5.

Lane Hubbard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Bermudian Springs' defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Fairfield, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Fairfield might still be hurting after the 19-2 loss they got from Bermudian Springs when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Fairfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
