Baseball Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Loss

Western Alamance extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 9-9 in the process. They lost 13-2 to the Northern Guilford Nighthawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2021.

As for Northern Guilford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Northern Guilford's part, Caleb Hinnant was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Riley Gladwell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Western Alamance wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Eastern Alamance on the 22nd. As for Northern Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Western Guilford on the 21st.
