Soccer Game Preview: Crosstown vs. University

For the first time this season, Crosstown will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They will be playing at home against the University Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crosstown will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Germantown on Tuesday. Crosstown was the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over Germantown. Grayson West was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, University had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They beat Kirby by a goal, winning 3-2.

Everything went Crosstown's way against University in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Crosstown made off with a 10-1 win. In that contest, Crosstown amassed a halftime lead of 9-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
