Woodland Regional has gone 8-1-1 against Kennedy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will square off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Woodland Regional duked it out with St. Paul Catholic on Monday. The Hawks and the Falcons finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The win was a breath of fresh air for Woodland Regional as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Kennedy fell victim to Naugatuck and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Naugatuck are ranked 11th).

With that draw, Woodland Regional's record moves to 1-7-1. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Woodland Regional might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Kennedy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
