Baseball Recap: Winters Takes a Loss

Winters fell victim to Ballinger and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bearcats, falling 13-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Blizzards, who until this matchup were averaging four runs allowed.

This is the second loss in a row for Winters and nudges their season record down to 7-2-1. As for Ballinger, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will head out to take on Coleman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coleman will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Winters surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ballinger, they will venture away from home to challenge Cisco at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
