Basketball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia lost against Fairfield Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Columbia Capitals took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairfield Central Griffins. The Capitals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Fairfield Central to victory were Kamauri Jones and Khaleb Feaster. Jones posted 12 points, while Feaster scored 11 points and six rebounds. Jaden Mozie was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Fairfield Central, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Columbia has already played their next match (against Chester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fairfield Central will head out to face off against Mid-Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfield Central is facing Mid-Carolina at the right time seeing as Mid-Carolina is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
