Volleyball Game Preview: Elmwood Trojans vs. Mercer County Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The Elmwood Trojans will head out to take on the Mercer County Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elmwood took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Knoxville by a score of 2-0.

While Elmwood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mercer County beat Monmouth-Roseville 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won six in a row.

Mercer County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Elmwood's record now sits at 18-5. As for Mercer County, their record is now 11-14.

Elmwood was able to grind out a solid win over Mercer County in their previous matchup back in August, winning 2-0. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
