Basketball Recap: Many Farms Comes Up Short

Many Farms lost against Round Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Many Farms Lobos took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Round Valley Elks.

Round Valley found their leader in sophomore Kelci Walker, who shot 6-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Addison Poston, who posted 11 points along with seven blocks and six rebounds.

Many Farms has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Round Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Many Farms will challenge Hopi at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Round Valley, they will take on St. Johns at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
