Volleyball Recap: Platte County Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Platte County won the last time they faced Lincoln Northeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 2-0.

While Platte County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Kate Brunner and Emma Macaluso, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Carissa Bacon and her 15 assists.

Platte County's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Lincoln Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Platte County will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Ruskin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Northeast, they will venture away from home to square off against Fremont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Rockets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
