Basketball Recap: Deerfield Skates Past Moscow with Ease

Deerfield waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Moscow Wildcats 68-26. That looming 68-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Leading Deerfield to victory were Adriel Clymer and Colten Musil. Clymer went 8 of 11 en route to 20 points and four steals, while Musil went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and six steals. The contest was Musil's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Lira, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Deerfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Deerfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Moscow, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Deerfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southwestern Heights on January 7, 2025. Moscow also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Elkhart at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
