Franklinton triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Rihanna Hunt

The Franklinton Rams had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They came out on top against Rocky Mount by a score of 58-49. This was payback for Franklinton, who suffered a 57-24 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Rihanna Hunt was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Asia Burton was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Mount lost, one person who can't be blamed is McKinley Battle. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. Battle's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Keysha Mizzell, who scored four points along with six blocks and three steals.

Franklinton pushed their record up to 14-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rocky Mount, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
