Wimberley waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fredericksburg Billies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 on Tuesday.

Wimberley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Dewell, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Dewell has hit this season.

Wimberley's record now sits at 11-5-1. As for Fredericksburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.
