Baseball Recap: Checotah Takes a Loss

Checotah lost against Stigler back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Checotah Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stigler Panthers.

Cale Thompson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. Camden Ferguson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Checotah dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stigler, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Checotah Wildcats face off against Battiest Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stigler, they will challenge McAlester at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
