Football Recap: Abraham Munguia Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Livingston

It was a proper cat-fight when Bridge City took on Livingston on Friday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 33-13 margin over the Lions. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Bridge City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abraham Munguia, who picked up 200 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Munguia was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Hoffman, who threw for 258 yards and three TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bridge City's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Koby Dean was the leader with three. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Carson Sauceda got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bridge City's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Livingston, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
