Football Recap: Boston English/New Mission Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Randolph, Boston English/New Mission was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 14-9 victory over Tech Boston Academy. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Tech Boston Academy lost, don't look at Xavier Carter. Despite the final result, he rushed for 77 yards and one score on only ten carries. Carter was even better on defense, forcing one fumble, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Boston English/New Mission's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tech Boston Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boston English/New Mission will welcome Hull at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tech Boston Academy, they will square off against O'Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
