Volleyball Game Preview: Giltner Hornets vs. College View Academy Eagles + How To Watch

The Giltner Hornets are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the College View Academy Eagles on Thursday. Giltner will be strutting in after a victory while College View Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Giltner will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Deshler, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hornets came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Giltner not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Deshler between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Avery Reeson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 17 assists.

College View Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Brownell Talbot, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since September 10, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.
