Baseball Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

Osceola lost against East Lake back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Osceola Warriors came up short against the East Lake Eagles, falling 8-2. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Osceola got a good showing from Jackson Berglund, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Berglund also gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Osceola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Stegbauer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Osceola fell to 2-1. As for East Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Osceola is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osceola is facing Lakewood at the right time seeing as Lakewood is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East Lake, they will square off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
