Baseball Recap: Rio Linda Takes a Loss

Rio Linda blew Inderkum out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Inderkum got their revenge. The Rio Linda Knights fell just short of the Inderkum Tigers by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered against the Tigers since March 13, 2017.

DJ Lloyd was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Carlos Martinez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Rio Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Inderkum, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Rio Linda will face off against Wheatland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Inderkum, they will head out on the road to challenge Cordova at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
