Volleyball Recap: Medora Hornets vs. Cannelton Bulldogs
Medora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Cannelton Bulldogs. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-14.
Isabelle Spence paced Medora's offense, picking up three kills. Spence got some help from Josie Bowers and her four assists.
Jaliyah Little went supernova For Cannelton., getting 12 aces and seven kills. Those 12 aces gave Little a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Hulse, who had eight kills and three aces.
Medora's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cannelton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.
Medora wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Henryville on the 8th. As for Cannelton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Columbus Christian on the 6th.
