Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Lions vs. Eastside Lions
After a string of three wins, the Legacy Christian Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Eastside. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eastside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malachi Garvin led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Garvin scored 15 or more points. Jaden Carter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Eastside, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-16 record this season.
Legacy Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Paraclete at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Eastside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lancaster has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last five matchups.
