The Northwestern Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Oak Hill Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Northwestern 3.6, Oak Hill 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Oak Hill will be up against a hot Northwestern squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers walked away with a 4-1 win over Tri-Central on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

At the plate, Teegan Helmle was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Landen Begley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Northwestern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Central only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill entered their tilt with Lewis Cass on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Kings by a score of 9-6.
Trenner Boswell was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Dylan Archer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Northwestern's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Oak Hill, their record now sits at 4-2.
Northwestern might still be hurting after the 13-4 loss they got from Oak Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
