Volleyball Preview: Johnson Knights vs. East Forsyth Broncos
After both having extra time off, the Johnson Knights and the East Forsyth Broncos will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Johnson is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Johnson came up short against Franklin County and fell 2-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17.
Meanwhile, East Forsyth had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight two weeks ago. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Red Raiders.
While East Forsyth might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Madison County scored at least 16 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.
East Forsyth relied on the efforts of Macy Meadows, who had four digs and two aces, and Aubrey Williams, who had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Williams has posted in her last seven matches.
Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.
