Volleyball Recap: Berwick Beats Wyoming Valley West for Their Fifth Straight Win

Berwick came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wyoming Valley West Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Berwick took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-14.

Berwick was led to victory by Julia Rauch and Grace Robbins. Rauch had 33 assists, while Robbins had 14 kills, two aces, and one block. That's the most aces Robbins has posted over her last two contests. Makayla Brown was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Berwick's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wyoming Valley West, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Berwick will square off against rival MMI Preparatory School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wyoming Valley West is set to take on their familiar foe Pittston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
